LIFE IS A TRIAL

“Do men fancy that they will be left just upon their declaring, “We believe”, and they will not be tested?’’

29:2

Life is a trial.

Everyone will be tested because that’s the purpose we are created for.

Be it happiness or sadness,

Be it wealth or poverty,

Be it courage or weakness,

Be it life or death,

Be it love or hatred.

But the problem is that ,are we going to pass or fail these tests??

There is an amazing verse in the Quran which tells us about the situations of a believer.

That there are some people who worship Allah but they are like sitting on an edge.

If good happens,

If they get married to the person they love so much,

If they pass the examinations,

If their business is doing well,

Then they are grateful to Allah, Alhamdulillah.

But Allah has also said,

When a calamity happens upon them,

If they got divorced,

If they fail the examinations

If their business is not doing well,

If someone doesn’t like them,

Then they fall back onto disbelieve.

Why do you think this happens?

Why?

It happens because of the lack of Iman and believes in our hearts, lack of trust, lack of knowledge and lack of interest and lack of understanding!!!

Are we not thankful to Allah that we are tested because the more that Allah tests us, the more He loves us and the more sins are wiped off.

There is a beautiful hadith that states:

Abu Sa’id and Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with them) reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said’ “No fatigue, nor disease, nor anxiety, nor sadness, nor hurt, nor distress befalls a Muslim, even if it were the prick he receives from a thorn but that Allah expiates some of his sins for that.

(Al-Bukhari and Muslim)

Subhanallah isn’t that amazing.

Imagine that you are walking down the road and stumbled upon a rock and fell down .Now you have 2 choices

First choice: to blame the rock and blame your eyes for not looking down when you are walking and cursing everything around you! Or

Second choice: to be thankful to Allah for giving an opportunity to wipe away some of your sins!

Which would you choose? Answer it loudly for yourself.

Insha’Allah by this time I’m sure all of us has a different perspective towards the challenges we face in our everyday life.

Be steadfast in times of trials and ask Allah for guidance and help with full heartedly and surely Allah will answer you. Trust me!

Let me end this post with an amazing and wonderful verse in the Quran which keeps my heart at peace whenever I recite them,

O Muhammad, whenever My servants ask you concerning Me - indeed I am very close. I respond to the invocation of the supplicant when he calls upon Me. So let them respond to Me (by obedience) and believe in Me that they may be (rightly) guided.

2:186

Just ask from Him people and trust me the light will shine again and your soul will be enlightened.

Insha’Allah
